Privacy Policy
Wish You Well (“we,” “us,” or “our”) helps you create personalized, AI-generated video gifts. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to wishyouwellapp.com and our mobile app.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details. When you sign up, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password (handled by our authentication provider, Supabase).
- Gift content.To create your video, we collect the details you enter — the recipient’s name, your personal message, the occasion, and the template you choose.
- Photos you upload.For avatar (“talking head”) videos, you may upload a photo of a person. We use this image only to generate the video you requested.
- Payment information.Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe shares only limited details with us, such as the billing email and a transaction reference.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage and device data. Basic information such as pages visited, order status, browser type, and IP address, used to operate and secure the service.
- Cookies. We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We do not use advertising cookies.
How we use your information
- Create, generate, and deliver your video gifts.
- Process payments and send order confirmations.
- Send transactional emails, such as payment receipts and “your video is ready” notifications.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
AI video generation
To generate your video, the content you provide — including your message, template selection, and any uploaded photo — is sent to our AI video generation provider, Runware, which processes it to produce your video. We share only what is needed to fulfill your order. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your message beyond what is necessary for the gift.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate Wish You Well, and only as needed to provide the service:
- Supabase— authentication and database hosting.
- Stripe— payment processing.
- Runware— AI video generation.
- Vercel— application hosting and storage of generated videos and uploaded images (Vercel Blob).
- Resend— sending transactional emails.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or the public. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Shareable video links
Every completed video has a shareable link (for example, wishyouwellapp.com/gift/…). Anyone who has this link can view and download the video without signing in — that is how you send the gift to its recipient. Treat the link like the gift itself and share it only with people you intend to see it.
Data retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Orders, generated videos, and uploaded photos are retained so you can access them from your dashboard and re-share your gifts. You can ask us to delete your account and associated content at any time (see Your rights below). We may retain limited records where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@wishyouwellapp.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law. You can also delete individual orders from your dashboard.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to promptly address any issues we discover.
Children’s privacy
Wish You Well is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
International users
We operate globally, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our service providers are located. We take steps to ensure your information receives an appropriate level of protection wherever it is processed.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
